The challenge: Transform a ‘kit’ house into an heirloom home that befitted a spectacular peninsular property.

The solution: A new angle and lifestyle-enhancing elements. We rotated the addition a few degrees to create sunrise-to-sunset vistas for the living area. The north-side patio offers shelter from the midday summer sun and catches afternoon breezes. For memorable family gatherings, we designed a step-down family room with a stone hearth.
